Update v0.0.2 – Core System Update (Progression, ...)

Introduction
This is the first devlog for the project.
Originally, this game was planned as a short-form roguelite with the feel of a classic RPG.
However, rather than sticking to a fixed concept, I’ve been experimenting with changes based on my needs and ideas at the time.
Updates
🧪 Item Traits Introduced
Originally, despite appearances, there was no real "item" system.
This update adds traits to items, bringing a bit more life to the game.
📈 Stat & Growth System Added
Previously absent, a basic stat and progression system has now been implemented.
It’s still early and rough, but the foundation is there.
👾 Monsters Added + Combat Traits
Added three distinct types of slimes, each with unique combat traits.
🎨 Improved Visual Blandness
This isn’t intended to be a visually rich or 3D-style game, but the previous version looked too flat.
I’ve added shadows to some objects and made minor edits to the tileset for better visual interest.
🎬 Ending Implemented
Technically, there was already an ending, but due to the lack of content, I had made the ending logic unnecessarily convoluted.
Now, the progression flows more naturally and the ending can be reached as part of normal gameplay.
What's Still Lacking
🖌️ Art
I don’t have experience aiming for polished art, and I don’t plan to.
Even within the allowances of the genre, the visuals are still far from appealing.
Part of it is inexperience, but mostly it's because the game is still experimental and its direction is being explored.
⚙️ Design / Implementation
Details are still very much in flux.
The game engine, programming language, camera perspective, and even core gameplay mechanics may change.
While it will likely remain within the broader “roguelike” or similar genre, many aspects could shift.
Right now, I’m trying to find a balance between better design ideas and what I can realistically achieve.
